EXSC 797R-Computer Interfacing and Programming

Students will demonstrate knowledge of how various instrumentation (force, EMG, accelerometers, etc) works. They will integrate these instruments with computers. They will also create programs to control devices, receive data, and process data.

Instrumentation: You will learn in this class how EMG, force, strain, acceleration, and pressure can be measured.

Interfacing: You will learn the basics of connecting devices to a computer and how voltages are measured with an Analog/Digital card.

Programming: You will learn how to read data from and Analog/Digital card and how to process and filter data with a customized program.
