This class will prepare you to perform and interpret measurements taken in the biomechanics lab.

Man Running Measurements: Many measurements can be taken in biomechanics. In this class, you will learn how to measure: Force, EMG signals, position, velocity, acceleration.

Principles: You will learn how describe motion, determine the forces causing motion and how various characteristics interact with each other leading to the overall effect on the body.

Calculations: Many characteristics of interest cannot be accurately measured with our current technology, thus we must calculate them from other measurments. Noisy signals can also create difficulty in obtaining accurate data. You will learn methods for processing data once is is collected or calculated to improve its accuracy.
